FAQ
Frequently Ask Questions.
Repetitive strain of the ligament from a specific activity like running causes wear and tear over time resulting in inflammation and pain along the plantar fascia.
Yes, shoes without proper arch support and heel cushioning such as sandals, heels, and flexi tennis shoes can all cause and or make your plantar fasciitis worse.
Calf tightness can make your plantar fasciitis worse and as a result calf stretches should help alleviate some of the pain felt from plantar fasciitis.
While all 26 bones that make up the foot are important for stability and mobility, the talus and navicular are 2 bones in the foot that if subluxated can create excess strain and pressure on the plantar fascia. Regular adjustments of these bones will help ease strain and tension on the plantar fascia as well as lengthen tight calf musculature.
